'Sparkles & Fades' started in early 2008 after stumbling upon countless fashion blogs on the Internet. After being inspired by the expression of art through fashion, I began to participate in the blogging community and started to gain confidence and enthusiasm in the way in which I dressed myself every day.

It was here that my love of fashion and all things vintage was born. In September 2009 I completed a part time course in photography, and went on to enrol in a distance learning course in psychology, which has so far been one of the best experiences of my further education.

In September 2010 I enrolled back into college in order to start my progression to university, though unfortunately my health took a turn for the worse and I've since had to take 'a year out' in order to recover. As well as my love of fashion, my blog now focuses on my passion for wellness, optimum health, and Raw Vegan Foods.

I truly believe that the clothing we wear and the foods we eat can affect our moods as well as the impressions we give to other people. Looking your best doesn’t need to cost the earth - just a little imagination!
